Weather conditions: |
| The spring was late, windy and cool, the last snowfall on 7 July. The weather was warm and clear from 5 to 12 July.

CONDITIONS

| Rodents abundance evaluation: |
low

Breeding conditions:
|
| At least 3 Arctic Foxes inhabited study area. Of avian predators only Long-tailed Skuas were breeding (2 nests). Predation of Arctic Foxes and skuas on bird nests was heavy. Brent Goose did not breed. Solitary broods of Little Stint, Curlew Sandpiper and Dunlin hatched in the second week of July.

| Siberian Lemmings were scarce, Collared - not recorded. Lemming numbers increased to the end of July.
